Responsibilities
- Install mechanical dairy production systems at the customer site, within specifications, on time, with quality exceeding the customers’ expectations.
- Review equipment submittals of commissioning scope of systems and approved compliance of the systems/equipment as per the project requirements
- Assist procurement personnel in procuring mechanical equipment, materials and services, ensuring that the work produced complies with customer objectives and procedures
- Verifying that the submittals for all equipment to be commissioned satisfy the requirements
- Monitors, verifies and reports on mechanical commissioning activities concerning compliance with the project schedules
- Responsible for identifying potential employer claims (back charges) and out of scope issues
- Receive Project documentation and understand Scope of Work related to the discipline
- Lead a team to undertake commissioning activities and interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities
- Prepare method statements, procedures and routines as required
- Report on work progress, bringing to notice the potential problems or delays and recommend solutions
- Perform inter-discipline checks and ensure compliance in accordance with HSE Standard
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent of 5+ years’ overall construction and commissioning experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, including Large Scale manufacturing construction projects
- Excellent written in Greek and English (reports and required documentation)
- Familiarity with operations in the dairy industry will be a plus.
- Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professional manner
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Team working skills
- Relevant technical expertise (for example in test, design, development and operations)
- Ability to cope with shift work and traveling abroad, where equipment is in 24-hour operation.
